Madagascar Motorcycle Tour: Tsingy Ankarana

Your guided Madagascar motorcycle tour begins at Ivato Airport in Antananarivo, where your guide greets you and accompanies you to the hotel. On the second day you fly early in the morning to Diego Suarez, where your rental motorcycle is waiting – choose between a Honda Transalp or a Suzuki DRZ 400. The motorcycle tour takes you past the salt pans of Diego Suarez, along wild beaches and through the Babaomby plain, the 'land of the zebus', before the route heads towards Tsingy Ankarana and the golden north. A support vehicle accompanies groups of five or more.

Highlights

Tsingy Rouge Hike

On this Madagascar motorcycle tour you hike for around two hours through the red sandstone formations of the Tsingy Rouge near Diego Suarez – a landscape of hundreds of reddish peaks constantly reshaped by wind and water erosion.

Tsingy Ankarana Trekking

In the Ankarana Special Reserve, the Madagascar enduro tour leads to razor-sharp limestone formations, underground cave systems and the Green Lake – one of the most impressive stages of the entire northern circuit.

Ramena Beach Stop

On the second largest natural bay in the world lies Ramena Beach, where you try out your rental motorcycle for the first time and relax at the fishing village with a cold drink before the Diego Suarez motorcycle tour continues.

Cap d'Ambre Nature Ride

The northernmost tip of Madagascar with its historic lighthouse is only reachable in the dry season and offers unspoiled beaches on this Madagascar offroad tour, known as a habitat for crabs and crayfish.

Gold Town Maevatanana

The Maevatanana motorcycle stage leads through the Ikopa Valley to the well-known gold trading town before the Madagascar motorcycle tour covers the last kilometres back to Antananarivo, where the trip ends.
