This on-road route takes you on winding, well-paved roads to historic towns like Sibiu and Sighișoara, over the legendary Transfagarasan and the Transalpina mountain pass, all the way to the region around Târgu Jiu. An experienced guide accompanies the entire round trip, so you can focus fully on the riding and the scenery. Departure daily between 9 and 10 am.

Highlights

The Transfagarasan Pass

The legendary Transfagarasan is one of Europe's most beautiful mountain roads: 148 kilometers of curves, sweeping views of the Carpathians, and if you're lucky, sightings of bears at the roadside make this the highlight of the trip.

The Transalpina Road

The Transalpina climbs to the country's highest paved pass road, at around 2,100 meters through the Southern Carpathians. Panoramic views over valleys and peaks and pleasantly cool mountain air make this stage a genuine riding experience.

Historic Old Towns

On this Transylvania motorcycle tour you visit Sibiu and Sighișoara, two of the country's most beautiful medieval towns. Narrow lanes and the famous Schäßburg citadel tell stories of Transylvanian history and draw you in instantly.

The Bicaz Gorge

This ride through the Bicaz Gorge runs along the Red Lake and through the spectacular Cheile Bicazului with its rugged rock walls. Winding sections alternate with sweeping views over the Carpathians – a dream for any motorcyclist.

Rest Day in Brașov

The rest day of this Brașov motorcycle tour invites you to catch your breath: stroll through the old town to the Black Church, visit Bran Castle, or meet the rescued bears at the nearby bear sanctuary before continuing through the Carpathians.
