Pure motorcycle touring in Andalusia: this self-guided motorcycle tour Spain starts and ends in Málaga, covering the southeast of the country over eight days. Day 1–8

Spain

Andalusia and the Murcia region in southeast Spain.

Day 1 · Spain

Arrival Day: Welcome in Málaga

This Andalusia motorcycle tour starts in Málaga: we collect you at the airport and transfer you to the comfortable tour hotel. If you are already on site or your flight lands in the morning before 11:00, you can remove this overnight stay at booking time.

Day 2 · Spain

Day 1: Tabernas Desert and Cabo de Gata

This self-guided motorcycle tour Spain takes you after motorcycle pick-up along a scenic coastal road by the Mediterranean, past cliffs and beach cafés, through long sweeping curves across the Tabernas desert and into the Cabo de Gata nature park, ending at the Parador of Mojácar. Distance: 330 km.

Day 3 · Spain

Day 2: Cabo de Gata Round Trip

After a fiery red sunrise over the sea, this Cabo de Gata motorcycle tour continues past deserted hotels, hippie coves and Playa de los Muertos beach to the Cabo de Gata lighthouse, then back to Mojácar along small roads with excellent grip. Distance: 240 km.

Day 4 · Spain

Day 3: Almería and Alto de Velefique to Lorca

Via the curves of Sorbas you reach the Almería racing circuit on your rental motorcycle Andalusia, before the Alto de Velefique – with its spectacular road and many switchbacks – earns its title as the Andalusian Stelvio. The tour continues through Murcia's hinterland to the Parador of Lorca. Distance: 275 km.

Day 5 · Spain

Day 4: Sierra de Filabres to Nerja

The endless curves of the Sierra de Filabres with its marble quarries and small villages bring you on this Sierra Nevada motorcycle stage into Spain's highest mountain range and finally to the coast at the Parador of Nerja – one of the finest hotels in Spain. Distance: 350 km.

Day 6 · Spain

Day 5: Alpujarras and White Villages

Today's route takes you to the white, Moorish-influenced villages of the snow-covered Sierra Nevada and optionally to Trevélez, Spain's highest municipality. Afterwards a twisty ride through blossoming almond trees and vineyards brings you back to the coast. Distance: 260 km.

Day 7 · Spain

Day 6: Costa Tropical back to Málaga

From Nerja the route heads into the Sierra Tejeda and along the winding Carretera de la Cabra, with striking contrasts between green hills and rugged rock faces, finishing through the Montes de Málaga nature park back to Málaga. Distance: 225 km.

Day 8 · Spain

Departure Day: Flight from Málaga
