Your Vietnam motorcycle tour begins in Ho Chi Minh City, where our tour guide picks you up at the airport and brings you to the hotel in the center. From there, the Mekong Delta route starts via Cat Tien National Park, the mountain region of the Central Highlands and the coast near Phan Thiet and Vung Tau, before you take the boat into the Mekong Delta. Your Vietnam motorcycle tour begins with arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, where our tour guide picks you up at the airport and brings you to the central hotel. Here you meet your travel group and get the first information about the route through the south.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cat Tien

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cat Tien

After the motorcycle handover, you leave the hectic city behind, heading for Cat Tien National Park. On this South Vietnam stage you follow narrow jungle paths, cross a ferry and spend the night at the edge of the park – with a bit of luck you'll encounter free-roaming elephants.

The only real mountain stage of this Vietnam round trip leads into the Central Highlands with views of a reservoir. Along the way you meet different hill tribes, before heading back to the coast in the evening for the overnight stay.

On this Long Xuyen stage you follow narrow paths along the river, cross numerous bridges and ferries, and stop for lunch in Vinh Long before reaching the lively town of Long Xuyen.

In the morning, a short boat trip brings you to the floating market, before this Chau Doc stage continues over ferries and narrow paths through rice fields. From Sam Mountain you have a view all the way to Cambodia.

After a few large ferries, this combined on/off-road tour takes you on one last beautiful route with many bridges back towards the city. Amid the dense traffic of Ho Chi Minh City, the stage ends at your central hotel.

Yes, this combined on/off-road Vietnam tour is rated easy to medium. The daily stages are short and the motorcycles are light, so riders without off-road experience can manage well too.

As standard you ride a Kawasaki KLX 150cc; an upgrade to the Honda XR 250cc is available for a surcharge, for example for the Long Xuyen stage through the rice fields.

No, off-road sections occur on only three to four days and are not demanding. If you lack experience, off-road training beforehand is still recommended.

Yes, entry into Vietnam generally requires a visa; we provide the necessary invitation letter free of charge.

Group size ranges from 6 to 12 riders with a maximum of 2 people per motorcycle; from 8 participants onward, a German-speaking tour guide also accompanies the group.
