Motorcycle Tours USA & Canada – Route 66, Southwest & Rockies

North America is the land of the big highways. In the USA you ride Route 66 from Chicago to the California coast, carve along the Pacific Coast Highway above the ocean and through the red rock of the Southwest national parks – Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Zion. In the Northeast, New England glows in the Indian Summer; in Florida you roll into Daytona Bike Week. Further north the Rocky Mountains open up across Canada with long mountain passes, lakes and forests, and in the far north the Alaska Highway is waiting. Most tours are ridden on Harley-Davidsons and big tourers – long stages and wide-open space. Every trip is guided, with a leader who knows the roads.

What makes North America different?

Motorcycle riding in North America is not like the Alps or California canyon roads. It's about vastness, long highway stretches, Harley culture, and freedom without borders.

2,000–5,000 km per tour

Distance without end

Daily stretches of 250–400 km are standard. Route 66 takes 2 weeks for 2,400 km. On the Alaska Highway you're still riding through wilderness after day 7.

  • Highway mentality: long straight stages, wide horizons
  • Gas stations can be 100 km apart – planning is key

Harley or tourer

Comfort for long distances

EagleRider fleet: Harley-Davidson, Honda Gold Wing, Triumph – all built for long tours with passenger and luggage. Upright seating, windscreen, plenty of storage.

  • Engine displacement from 750 to 1,700 cc, automatic sometimes available
  • Rental usually included in price – you don't need your own bike

Guided with freedom

Guide riding with liberty

The guide rides up front, knows all the insider tips and gas stops. Evenings at the hotel everyone gathers together. During the day you ride at your own pace – faster, slower, or stop for photos.

  • Small groups (4–8 motorcycles), daily briefings
  • Support van follows with luggage and spare parts – you travel light
